Excursion to Cobá + Punta Laguna + Mayan Village

Your day begins with pick-up at your hotel to go, first of all, to the archaeological zone of Cobá, where we will tour the ruins of the ancient Mayan city with a guide certified by the National Institute of Archeology where he will explain everything you need to know at the foot of the ruins of Cobá. Includes bike ride.

Afterwards, we will go for a swim in the Cenote Esmeralda. A semi-open cenote where we will enjoy a pleasant environment in the middle of nature.

We will make a stop in an authentic Mayan village, Nuevo Durango, completing your immersion in the culture and traditions of this fascinating civilization. Here we will meet Don Manuel and his family while enjoying a rich and traditional meal.

Finally, we will go to the impressive natural reserve of Punta Laguna. The first thing upon entering the reserve is to witness a Mayan ritual by a local shaman, this experience will help us begin to immerse ourselves in the Mayan culture.

We will take a short trekking route through the lush jungle to be able to observe the spider monkey and the howler monkey up close.

We continue the adventure with the descent to a cenote where you will rappel and you can enjoy a special immersion in its waters practicing snorkeling in a cenote full of history, as it was a Mayan sacrifice center, with a secret inside: at its bottom lies an enigmatic mystery: 116 Mayan skulls, testimonies of ancient rituals.

We will continue with the descent by the zip line that extends along 150 meters and continue the adventure with a canoe ride through the lagoon to enter the jungle and discover its wild beauty.
