- Weather and clothing: The weather is hot and humid most of the year. We recommend lightweight clothing, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
- Hydration: Always carry drinking water. It's easy to get dehydrated while walking through archaeological sites or visiting cenotes.
- Comfortable shoes: Many archaeological sites have uneven or stone paths. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Respect for sacred and natural sites: Touching archaeological structures or leaving trash in cenotes or natural areas is not allowed. Please follow local guidelines.
- Swimming in cenotes: Before entering a cenote, you must shower to protect the ecosystem. Avoid using conventional sunscreen or repellent.
- Cash in local currency (MXN): Some places don't accept cards. We recommend carrying cash in Mexican pesos, especially in small towns.
- Travel insurance: We recommend having insurance that covers medical assistance and tourist activities.
- Cultural respect: Interact with Mayan communities with respect and an open mind. Many tours include visits to traditional villages.
- Please remember that you must carry valid personal documents (passports, visas, vaccination certificates, etc.). If you are denied entry into the country for not meeting the requirements, for defects in the required documents, or for not carrying them, we accept no liability, and any resulting costs will be borne by the traveler.
- In the event of changes/cancellations of services due to FORCE MAJEURE (weather or other natural causes, or any other unforeseen event beyond our control and the operator's control), alternatives will be offered on the spot, even at the destination.
- Requests for services or changes are not accepted during the tour. If needed, they will be handled on site and paid directly to the operator.
- Private service: The tour is exclusively for the booked group (maximum 10 people). Transportation and activities are not shared with other travelers outside your group.
- Transportation included: Air-conditioned vehicle with an assigned driver for the entire trip. (Air travel is not included)
- We recommend 1 carry-on suitcase per person (10kg) for comfort and space in the vehicle.
- Departures from the agreed point.
- Hotels: Quoted hotels or similar (subject to availability at the time of booking). Double rooms (single supplement upon request)
- Room-only plan: Often there isn't time to eat breakfast before the hotel's breakfast service opens, so several stops will be made along the way
- Estimated visit times are respected according to the agreed itinerary.
- The order of the route may change due to reasons beyond the logistics operation.
- Bookings and payments: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance must be paid before the tour starts (by bank transfer).
- If airfare, train, boat fares, etc. are included, they may be subject to changes at the time of issue.
- Issuing these types of services in advance may require a higher initial booking deposit to prevent the price from changing due to delays. You'll be informed when we receive your booking.
- Once issued, plane, train, bus, and boat tickets, special admission tickets, or similar are non-refundable. Their cost will be added to the applicable cancellation fees.
- Safety and health: We recommend purchasing travel assistance and cancellation insurance.
- At cenotes and during water activities, wearing a life jacket may be mandatory.
- Weather conditions: The tour runs as normal in light or intermittent rain. In case of severe weather events, it will be rescheduled or canceled without penalty.
- Luggage is not part of the transportation contract. For all purposes, the traveler is understood to keep it with them at all times, regardless of where in the vehicle it is placed, and it is transported at the traveler's own risk, without the Organizer being contractually liable for any loss or damage it may suffer for any reason.
- We recommend bringing minimal luggage to avoid setbacks and maximize space.
- Transfers: Arrivals or departures outside business hours or on days other than those in the program (extra nights, etc.) usually involve a transfer supplement. If your arrival and departure flight times fall outside business hours, the operator may charge a night transfer supplement.
- Transfers included in the program but not used are non-refundable.
- Hotels and rooms: Once your booking is made, if the program hotel is unavailable, another hotel with similar features will be offered. Operators may change the hotel, even while the traveler is at the destination, as long as it is within the same or a higher category and the booking was not made for a specific hotel. The final choice of hotels is up to the operator. Requests for rooms with a double bed or two beds (twin) are for information only and are not guaranteed, as they always depend on the property at check-in.
- Some hotels don't clean rooms daily. This is part of an initiative to reduce environmental impact by cutting down on chemical products and the water used for daily washing of bed linens and towels. In some countries there is a local tax that is not included in the booking price and must be paid directly at the property and/or the corresponding airport.
- Please also keep in mind that some countries don't meet the same quality standards as Europe, and the stated category, although correct according to the country's ratings, may be lower than expected.
- Food intolerances or special requests must be communicated well in advance of the travelers' arrival at the destination. We will pass them on to the local operator, but we CANNOT guarantee special diets, menus, or treatment. Please keep in mind that many countries are not adapted to these needs.
- For programs with flights, trains, ferries, or other means of transportation that operators provide but whose operation doesn't depend on them, any cancellation, delay, or change that causes extra costs must be paid by the traveler at the destination.
